Local Clinics — Omo Valley, Ethiopia
Progress
We have supported Dr. Bachwosen Mechak and her clinic in Turmi, Ethiopia as well as other local clinics in the Omo Valley with the help of Anteneh Endale Mamo, a local tour guide. Since 2014, more than $50,000 has been spent buying beds and X-ray machines for clinics in the Omo Valley.
In addition, we have collaborated with the University of Addis Ababa, Aklilu Lemma Institute of Pathobiology to support seroprevalence studies of arboviruses in the Omo Valley and other lowland regions in Ethiopia.
